The International University in Germany (IU) was a private institution located in the south west of Germany in Bruchsal. It was awarded state recognition as a university by the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts of the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg by council order dated February 11, 1998.
This recognition was extended to September 30, 2010 by resolution of the government on February 4, 2003.
IU was innovative and from an academic point of view highly successful in the education it provided. It offered Bachelor and Master programs in Business Administration, Communication Management and Information Technology. All classes with the exception of foreign language courses were taught in English. All exams and the final thesis were also written in English.
End of 2009 IU had to cease operations for financial reasons.
